The Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children’s Hemophilia & Thrombosis Treatment Center is dedicated to serving patients living with hemophilia and coagulation disorders. The Center focuses on providing comprehensive care by involving patients and their families in identifying and addressing their medical, emotional, physical, educational, psychological and vocational needs that often accompany hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. The concept of providing comprehensive care has led to an improved quality of life for individuals with bleeding disorders through acquired independence and prevention of other related health problems. The Kapi‘olani Hemophilia and Thrombosis Treatment Center of Hawai‘i is a nationally accredited and federally funded program – which allows us to provide medication to patients directly. Any money received from medication purchases goes toward the centers work to improve and expand patient services and programs. These include support groups, outreach programs and education to the community.
